The Hartland Peninsula
The Hartland Peninsula is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the Atlantic Coastline to the West and the Bristol Channel to the North.

Highdown Cottage lies about 2 miles North East of Hartland Village and 2 miles West of Clovelly.

The Hartland Peninsula is breathtakingly beautiful with rugged cliffs, quiet secluded beaches and is far away from the noise and pollution of urban life.

Hartland Point which lies 2 miles to the North of the Cottage stands 350 feet above the sea and has a lighthouse to warn shipping of the treacherous coastline.

There is plenty to do and see in the area including Hartland Abbey, Lundy Island, the RHS Gardens at Rosemoor (near Great Torrington) and sandy beaches at Instow Westward Ho! and Bude.
